| Poster Exhibition at Sheffield Winter Garden
Visit the Winter Garden to view this collection of posters commemorating national Holocaust Memorial Day.
These posters were produced by the Holocaust Memorial Day Trust and this exhibition will document just a small part of the history of HMD in the UK.
Holocaust Memorial Day was introduced to provide an opportunity for everyone to learn the lessons from the Holocaust, Nazi persecution and subsequent genocides in Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia and Darfur to apply them in the present day to create a safer, better future.The Lord Mayor of Sheffield, Cllr Sylvia Dunkley, and Rabbi Golomb will open the exhibition at 12 noon on Friday 27th January. There will be a chance to light tea lights in remembrance and recognition between 12 noon and 2pm on Friday.
