Partners for Inclusion

Who are Partners for Inclusion?

Partners for Inclusion (PFI) is a Sheffield partnership for people with physical, sensory or cognitive impairment .

Members of the partnership are Sheffield CIL (SCIL), Sheffield City Council, NHS Sheffield, Sheffield First, Voluntary Action Sheffield, Sheffield Teaching Hospitals Foundation Trust and disabled community representatives in Sheffield.

We work in partnership with health and social service providers to promote service improvements. PFI is administered by Sheffield CIL and we are a sub-board of the Sheffield First for Health and Well-being Board.  This makes us part of the Sheffield First family

Our Vision

We are determined to make Sheffield a place where people with physical, sensory and cognitive impairments are equally valued, can access excellent services and have full citizenship rights.

Our Mission

We want disabled people to be treated fairly and equally.  In order to achieve this, we:

  • Value diversity and tackle misconceptions, prejudice and discrimination
  • Consult, listen and bring disabled people together to ensure their voices are heard
  • Constructively scrutinize, challenge and monitor services, to secure improvements in their design and delivery
  • Learn from others, work together and work in partnership, especially with Sheffield First
  • Stay relevant, up to date and open to new ideas, so we can influence services and structures more effectively.
