There is a new telephone helpline for people with AS on 020 8948 9117 operating between the hours of 9.00am and 12.30pm from Monday to Friday. The helpline is run by National Ankylosing Spondylitis Society’s Information Officer, Sally Dickinson, and is supported by the team of medical advisers. The helpline deals with a wide range of topics including problems around diagnosis, medication, finding a consultant with an interest in AS, exercise and physiotherapy, employment and welfare benefits.
