Have Your Say about Adult Social Care

If you use adult social care services, or if you care for someone who does, Sheffield City Council is inviting you to give your views about adult social care and would like to involve you in improving the quality of the services they provide for older people and adults with a physical, sensory or cognitive impairment in Sheffield. There are various ways that you can get involved and have your say. These range from; receiving a briefing paper and getting in touch if you have views on the content, to coming to meetings and co-producing projects .You’ll be able to bring your own personal experience and expertise to developing good quality services that will benefit yourself and others. If you’d like to get involved they will talk with you about your interests, how much time you have available, and how they can support you to find a way of being involved that suits you. Some of the successes of involvement are: Disability equality training for Home care agencies, designed and delivered by people who use the services; People who use services are trained and take part in the recruitment panels for social care staff; Information booklets have been co-produced;People who use services have been on decision making panels for an accessible housing opportunity and funding for innovation projects; People who use services have worked with staff and managers to make plans for the coming year.
