Personal Mobility Needs Review |
|
The government has said that it would like to stop paying Mobility Allowance to people who live in 'Residential Care'. Many people have fed back to the government that this might mean people who live in residential care can't go out and about and that isn't fair. Leading disability charities have commissioned Lord Low of Dalston to undertake a review into how the personal mobility needs of people living in state-funded residential care are met. This call for evidence is one of several methods being used to gather information. Evidence submitted will be used to create a final independent report. It is called the Low Review. If you wish to get involved and have your say you will need to do it by 10th October 2011.Here is a website with all the information you need: The Low Review
