One of our members was recently a victim of verbal abuse in the street and reported the incident to the police. Incidents often remain unreported so we though we would draw your attention to the definition of Hate Crime on Sheffield City Council’s website and the various reporting procedures and documents. Our news items today also provide details of two related events in October - a Disability Hate Crime training event and an invitation to a community engagement event for disabled people from South Yorkshire Police.
