Here is a message we have received from Gabriel Pepper asking for support to save the Independent Living Fund “I am writing to you because I am severely disabled. I get a fund to pay for my personal assistants, it is ILF (Independent Living Fund).The government are saying they have to close it in 2015 as it is no longer 'financially sustainable'. This fund supports 21,000 people and although the money is peanuts to the government, it is everything to some disabled people. It is the difference between being in a care home, and having a life. I am urging all disabled people to sign this petition This government is determined to destroy the hard won rights of disabled people in the UK. We want to get 100,000 signatures.
