South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Consultation

South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue are consulting on two key documents, their Draft Equality and Inclusion Strategy and Draft Workforce Profile.  They are hoping that you will help them to review these documents and let them know your thoughts on whether they have they got their priorities right, whether anything is missing, how you want them to work with you to promote equality and what else they can do to promote diversity. Key issues identified in the Draft Workforce Profile include the number of women and men they employ and information about their background such as their age and whether or not people tell them if they are disabled.

For South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue, diversity is about having people from different backgrounds work for them and understanding how these differences benefit the organisation. Consultation on these two documents is open until 17th January 2012 (SCIL has contacted them about the short-time scale for this consultation). Please click on this link to take you to the consultation documents adn go to the ‘How to Respond’ section to leave comments.
