Implementation of the United Convention on Rights for Disabled People |

The Office for Disability Issues has released a draft government report on the UK's implementation of the United Nations Convention on Rights for Disabled People. Disabled peoples’ organisations are already involved giving regular feedback but the Government wants wider comments on the report. The draft report can be found at the ODI website. The deadline for comments is 5pm on 20th June. The comments will also contribute to a new government Disability Strategy. The Strategy aims to say how the government is going to continue implementing the Convention and work towards equality for disabled people.
